Erika Lopez, PT DPT
she/her · Founder, Doctor of Physical Therapy
Erika Lopez is the founder and creator of Lavender Physical Therapy & Wellness. She graduated from the University of New England in 2016 with a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. For ten years she has been specializing in pelvic floor dysfunction for all genders, spinal orthopedic conditions, gender affirming care, and all aspects of pain management. Erika takes a holistic and comprehensive approach to patient care, providing one on one, individualized sessions to ensure improvement in quality of life and return to desired level of function. She aspires to create a safe and welcoming space for all members of the South Florida and Miami community to heal and prosper. Her hobbies include spending time with her wife, family, their two golden retrievers, traveling, and playing pickleball.

Nicole Fernandez, MD

Dr. Nicole Fernandez is a board certified Internal Medicine Physician providing primary care services at Lavender Physical Therapy & Wellness. Dr. Fernandez has an individualized patient centered approach to managing all aspects of health and wellness. She strives to create a safe and welcoming space for all of her patients. Her hobbies include spending time with her wife, family, their two golden retrievers, traveling, staying active playing various sports, hiking, and boating.

Isis Monzon, PT DPT
she/her · Doctor of Physical Therapy
Isis Monzon is a dedicated and compassionate physical therapist with a strong commitment to helping individuals improve their quality of life. Born and raised in Miami, Florida, Isis was always drawn to the idea of helping others. She attended local schools in Miami such as Florida International University and the University of St. Augustine, earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Isis is currently undergoing a manual orthopedic fellowship program to further expand her knowledge. Her expertise spans a wide range from general orthopedic conditions to pelvic floor rehabilitation and dry needling certified. Her approach is highly individualized, focusing on creating customized treatment plans that suit each patient’s needs and goals. In her spare time, Isis enjoys watching live orchestral shows and reading astrological charts.

Oliver Garcia, LMT
he/him · Licensed Massage Therapist
Oliver Garcia brings extensive experience as a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to the Coral Gables community. With a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Physiology focused on sports medicine and athletic injuries, he has a deep understanding of body mechanics. Oliver pioneered the first physical therapy internship at his academic program and has over four years managing a diverse team at an inpatient rehabilitation clinic. In his practice, Oliver specializes in prenatal massage and a variety of neuromuscular therapy (NMT) techniques, including unique treatments like Thai massage on the table. His advanced training also includes specific techniques for treating facial dysfunctions such as TMJ syndrome. Dedicated to holistic healing, Oliver creates customized care plans that integrate massage with physical therapy, promoting wellness and improved mobility for pregnant and postpartum women. A skilled massage therapist specializing in rehabilitation therapy, Oliver is dedicated to helping clients recover, move better, and feel their best. With a background as a former lacrosse player, he understands firsthand the demands of athletic performance and injury recovery. When not working with clients, Oliver enjoys staying active in the water—spearfishing, swimming, and exploring the outdoors. A passionate traveler and nature enthusiast, he brings the same energy for movement and adventure into his approach to wellness and healing.

Lexa Goldman, LMHC LMFT
she/her · Licensed Mental Health Counselor & Therapist
Lexa Goldman is a dually licensed mental health counselor and marriage & family therapist. She obtained both her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and Master’s Degree in Counselor Education from the University of Central Florida. During her time in Orlando, Lexa gained experience as a therapist for various populations and ultimately found her passion working with the LGBTQ+ community. She continued this work when she moved back to South Florida by working at a non-profit LGBTQ+ youth agency and in private practice. Lexa takes a holistic approach to helping her clients while focusing on the client’s natural strengths and resilience. She has extensive education and experience that allow her to guide her clients through their goals related to anxiety, depression, life transitions, gender dysphoria, and more. Lexa is honored to be in a position where she can help people every day gain renewed hope and improved self-worth. In her personal life, Lexa loves exploring new recipes and restaurants and spending time with her family (including her fur baby)!

Catherine Hurtado serves as the Director of Operations at Lavender Physical Therapy & Wellness. She earned her Bachelor of Health Services Administration (BHSA) degree from Florida International University and brings over nine years of valuable experience in healthcare administration. Catherine is passionate about supporting providers who make a lasting impact on their patients, not only through clinical excellence but also through genuine compassion and personalized care. She is dedicated to leveraging her operational expertise to empower Lavender’s exceptional team and to ensure they have the support and structure needed to consistently deliver the highest standard of care. In her free time, Catherine enjoys garment sewing. When she needs a break from the seam ripper, she retreats to a book or a movie night with her husband and daughter.
